Located in the heart of Dattatraya Square, the building of Ravi Dai Newa Chhen itself stands as a testament to Newari architectural heritage, rich in tradition and history. Despite undergoing restoration, the building remains a symbol, showcasing the timeless craftsmanship of the Newari people.

Our privilege was to enhance the interior of 'Ravi Dai Newa Chhen - A Newari Restaurant,' while upholding the essence of Newari design and infusing it with our contemporary flair.

Spanning two floors and a rooftop area, the restaurant boasts a blend of tradition and modernity.

A hallmark of Newari restaurants is their low-seating dining rooms, which we preserved on the first floor in homage to Newari culture. However, in alignment with our commitment to honoring tradition while embracing modern preferences, we integrated dining tables on the subsequent floors and rooftop.

To maintain authenticity, we utilized traditional colors throughout the space. While incorporating modern materials such as wood for ceiling beams and pillars, we ensured the ambiance retained its traditional charm.

Additionally, in the bar area, we paid tribute to the Dattatrya square's tradition by incorporating a 'Rath' wheel, reflecting the cultural significance of Dattatraya Square.
